Ingredients: Olives (99.7%), extra virgin olive oil
Characteristics: The baked black olives of Nocellara del Belice have an intense flavor, typical of ripe fruit. Crunchy texture, medium-large size. Whole olives with pit.
Processing method: The Nocellara del Belice olives are hand-picked from the olive groves of the Turnaturi farm. The olives are harvested black and already ripe from the tree. Then, thanks to salting, the drupes become milder and are baked. The heat causes a slight loss of water. This is followed by vacuum packaging.
Shelf life: 6 months
Storage: avoid exposing the package to heat sources or direct light. Once opened, store the package in the fridge at +4°C.
Pairings: Baked black olives are a perfect appetizer snack, pleasantly accompanying a glass of wine or a beer. They are also a perfect ingredient for salads or to add to sauces and other dishes. They can be paired with a main course, such as pasta with tuna, or with stewed fish. They can be alternated with green olives or used together.
Curiosity: Nocellara del Belice is a type of olive that is very well suited for oil production and more! In fact, it is considered an excellent table olive. Its taste is delicate yet intense, the fruit is medium-large, and the flesh is crunchy. The cultivation of the Nocellara del Belice olive tree is very ancient in the Belice Valley area and dates back to the Greek colony of Selinunte.
